Description

Eugene Paul Wigner (1902-1995) received a share of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1963 for his contributions to the theory of the atomic nucleus and the elementary particles, particularly through the discovery and application of fundamental symmetry principles. In the right field, a stylised atomic structure is presented.
Back:The back has the lower legend “NOBEL-DÍJ 1963 WIGNER JENŐ” at the bottom. In the right field, there is a bust portrait of Jenő Wigner. To the left of the portrait, the Wigner–Eckart theorem is shown in two horizontal lines. The master mark of designer Fanni Vékony is found to the right of the portrait.
