Part of the World Heritage series. The traditional march of the busós was the first intangible cultural event from Hungary to be inscribed on UNESCO’s representative list of cultural heritage. The Busó Festivities in Mohács are a Hungarikum!
Front: The front of the coin has the circular legend “MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG” at the top. To the right of the centre field, the coin shows a busó figure with a horn on his shoulder, a ratchet in hand and cowbells on his belt, with two more busó figures in the background. The lower left field has the mandatory elements, such as the denomination “5000” and “FORINT”, the date “2011” and the mint mark “BP.”.
Back:The back of the coin has the circular legend “MOHÁCSI BUSÓJÁRÁS” at the bottom. A busó mask with goat horns is depicted in the centre field. To the right below the mask is the master mark of the designer Gábor Gáti.
