Description
The commemorative coin was issued to mark the 200th anniversary of the consecration of the Lutheran Church at Deák tér. It is part of the series Masterpieces of religious architecture.
Front: The altar of the Lutheran Church at Deák tér is shown in the centre field of the front of the coin. The upper legend reads “MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG”, while the lower legend has the denomination “5000” and “FORINT”. On the left of the coin, the upper and lower legends are separated by the horizontal text “1811” denoting the year of consecration, with the coin’s date “2011” shown horizontally on the right. The mint mark “BP.” is found beneath the lower legend.
Back:The Lutheran Church at Deák tér is shown in the centre on the back of the coin. The upper legend reads “DEÁK TÉRI EVANGÉLIKUS TEMPLOM”. The master mark of designer Emma Sz. Egyed is seen below the image of the Church.
