Description

Mattie of Gooses (Hungarian: Lúdas Matyi, is a Hungarian epic poem written by Mihály Fazekas (1766-1828)hungarian poet and botanist in 1804 and first released in 1817. It is based on a folk-tale of unknown origins. Most film adaptations place the story to the beginning of the 19th century.

Front: The front of the coin has the mandatory elements, such as the denomination 200 FORINT”, the mint mark “BP.”, the legend “MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG” and the master mark.
Back:The back has inscription “MIHÁLY FAZEKAS: LÚDAS MATYI”, and young guy named Matthias with a goose in his hand.
