Description
To the occasion of the FIFA World Cup to be organised by Brazil in 2014, this silver commemorative coin has been launched in October 2013. It is the first Hungarian issue bearing the official logo of the FIFA.
Front: The centre of the obverse of the commemorative coin has the inscription ‘MAGYARORSZÁG’, the value numeral ‘3000’, the inscription ‘FORINT’ as well as the mint mark ‘BP.’ alongside the mint year ‘2013’ in four horizontal lines. In the background, the outlines of a stylised globe and a football, drawn on each other, are depicted.
Back:The circular legend on the edge of the reverse reads ‘FIFA WORLD CUP BRAZIL 2014’. The left of the reverse bears the representation of a football player tackling a ball with energy. The official emblem of the FIFA World Cup, in a field bordered by a quarter circle, is depicted in the centre on the right of the coin. The initials of designer Áron Bohus are on the lower part of the field bordered by the quarter circle. The collector coin is struck in .925 fine silver. It weighs 12.5 grams, its diameter is 30 mm and it has a milled edge.
