The 1988 XV Winter Olympic Games were held in Calgary, Canada from 13 to 28 February 1988. Medals were awarded in 10 sports/disciplines, with 16 women’s competitions, 28 men’s competitions and two mixed competitions.
Front: The front has the mandatory elements: the denomination 500 Forint, the mint mark BP., the date 1986, the legend Magyar Népköztársaság, the designer’s mark, along with a stylised depiction of the Olympic flame.
