Description
On 18 April 2018 on the occasion of the 2018 IIHF World Championship Division I Group A to be held in Hungary the Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued a commemorative version of the HUF 50 circulation coin.
Front: Replacing the usual saker falcon the thematic side features the most relevant scene in ice hockey where a player takes a shot on the goal. The figure taken from the emblem of the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation is also shown on this side of the coin.
Back: The side of the coin showing its face value is the same as that of the HUF 50 coin currently in circulation.
