Description

The commemorative version of the 50 forint coin is intended to draw attention to the importance of national and historical sites, the purpose of their existence and the role they have played in history.

Front:The thematic side features a square knot emblem, replacing the usual saker falcon. If held vertically, the emblem symbolises the national memorial sites and, if rotated by 45 degrees, it symbolises the historical memorial sites. The thematic side of the coin was designed by István Kósa, chief engraver of the Hungarian Mint Ltd.
Back:The face value side of the commemorative 50-forint circulation coins is identical to the standard 50-forint coin currently in circulation.
