HUF 50 coin commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence.

Front: The thematic side shows the House of Parliament from the Danube with the Hungarian national flag with a hole cut in its centre in the foreground. The new side of the coin was designed by István Kósa.
The inscription on the circulation coins reads “Hungarian Republic”. Mint mark: BP. Quality: UNC.
Back: The side of the coin showing its face value is the same as that of the HUF 50 coin currently in circulation.
