Description
This locomotive meant the greatest challange for the Hungarian electrics industry, which enabled it to catch up after our 10 years techological gap. The locomotives on the medal were put into service first in 1963. The V43 became the prototype for MÁV and the M40 also made a large turnover. On the medal you can see the silouette of the German 520 steam tender locomotive and the Swedish diesel-electric NOHAB.
